Kommuniteten betyder inte bara liv i gemenskap utan även känslan av att man har en ny familj. Liv i kommunitet är att behandla andra som Jesus skulle ha gjort. Att man hela tiden har någon man kan prata med, men också har sin egen tid och att alla respekterar det. Det handlar om att hjälpa varandra, men också om att dela vår tro på Gud. Man kan säga att kommuniteten är en liten kyrka där man hör hemma.
Mamaloo är 23 år och är från Afghanistan och precis beviljats uppehållstillstånd i Sverige!
Jag har bott i senapskornet ungefär ett och ett halvt år. Som en ung kille har jag lärt mig ganska mycket sen jag flyttade hit och förstått att livet är mycket mer än pengar och världsliga ting. Att leva i en gemenskap lärde mig att öppna mig själv för nya utmaningar. Att lita på folk, vilket var svårt för mig i början. Att älska och visa kärlek till mina medmänniskor. Att hjälpa andra så gått jag kan. Och viktigaste att älska Gud och lita på hans planer.
Det är underbart att bo i en kristen gemenskap för att vi alla har olika gåvor men samma mål antar jag ( att vara Jesus efterföljare ).
När det handlar om svårigheter då hjälper vi varandra. Vi hjälper varandra att växa i tro och blir bättre på olika sätt.
Allt är bra med att bo i en gemenskap förutom när nån blir sjuk för sjukdomen går runt i hela kommuniteten och alla blir sjuka. 😂

Singing “Thank you Lord, for giving us food” before eating. The joy of playing hide and seek thatdevelops when the children don´t find you. Dancing together at birthday parties to Afghan music.These and many other moments have left their mark on me. These moments form in me the imageof the Senapskornet community.
It was not difficult to feel comfortable in the community. I noticed quickly, that this community has afamily atmosphere. I think, you don´t necessarily have to do something together to get closer to eachother in the community, but when we had a so called community-day (where we would go maybe tothe badhuset or to Omberget to ride the pulca) sometimes you really felt like you were part of a bigfamily.We volunteers were welcomed so warmly and naturally, and after a really short time it felt likehome. There is a great diversity in our community, we all are from different countries and we speak a lot of different languages. You became quickly close to the members of the community, even if notall of us are speaking the same language.
Currently we are 9 people in the community.
During my second half of the project, I learned that life in a community can change quickly. Westarted our project with a second family who had also lived here. But then they moved in thebeginning of January and all at once a 12-member community became an 8-member community.Due to the absence of this family, one could notice significant changes in the environment from thecommunity. In the rather noisy living room for example, suddenly a strange silence overcame us.Still, we had another big change in our community: the arrival of the third volunteer. New changes and challenges were ahead of us. Because of those things I learned a lot about how relationships and atmospheres can change in an instant and sometimes things can develop differently than we expect. Everyone has their own
personalities and gifts, so everyone is special in their own way, but exactly that makes the
community so special and particular.
God planted us in this community for a reason and so together we will grow and become a mustard tree.
